Great Geckos

I chose geckos for the letter G because are really unique, cute, and amazing reptiles. Geckos are most well known for, of course, the adhesive pads on their feet that allow them to cling to any surface at any angle using what is basically static electricity. However this is far from the only unique thing! Like mentioned in the poem, geckos have vocal cords used to make various chirping noises. They do this to warn others of danger, establish territory, or attract a mate. To keep their eyes moist they lick their own eyes! When there is no male around, females will lay eggs that clone themselves instead of having regular eggs. These strange and fascinating creatures are truly great!
